The "Domain URLs Analysis" table on the Page Performance page helps you understand which websites (domains) and specific pages (URLs) are being mentioned by AI models in response to your tracked queries. Here's a breakdown of the key columns:
This column shows the total number of times any URL belonging to that specific domain appeared in the AI responses for your tracked queries, within the selected time window (e.g., Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days).
Think of it as the frequency or volume of mentions for that domain. If the same URL from a domain is mentioned multiple times, each mention increases this count.
This column counts the number of distinct, individual URLs (specific web pages) from that domain that were found in the AI responses within the selected time window.
This tells you about the breadth or variety of pages mentioned from that domain. If the same URL is mentioned multiple times, it only counts as one unique URL.
When you expand a domain row by clicking "Show URLs", you'll see a list of specific URLs found for that domain.
Next to each URL, a (mentions: X) count is displayed. This number shows how many times that specific URL was mentioned within the selected time period.
Let's say within the "Last 7 Days", the AI mentioned these URLs for your queries:
yourdomain.com/product-ayourdomain.com/product-a (mentioned again)yourdomain.com/blog/post-1competitor.com/feature-xyourdomain.com/product-bHere's how the analysis would look for each domain:
Domain Mentions: 4
(Counted each time: /product-a, /product-a, /blog/post-1, /product-b)
Unique URLs: 3
(Distinct URLs: /product-a, /blog/post-1, /product-b)
Domain Mentions: 1
(Counted once: /feature-x)
Unique URLs: 1
(Distinct URL: /feature-x)
If you expanded the yourdomain.com row, you would see:
yourdomain.com/product-a (mentions: 2)yourdomain.com/blog/post-1 (mentions: 1)yourdomain.com/product-b (mentions: 1)The system categorizes URLs into two distinct types based on how they were obtained:
These are URLs that AI models found through web search results. When an AI model performs a web search to answer your query, the URLs from those search results are captured and marked as "Web Search" URLs.
Example: If you ask "What are the best project management tools?" and the AI searches the web, URLs like "asana.com/features" or "trello.com/pricing" found in the search results would be tagged as Web Search URLs.
These are URLs that appear directly in the AI model's response text. These URLs are mentioned as part of the AI's written answer, often as recommendations, references, or examples.
Example: If the AI writes "You can find more information at example.com/help" in its response, that URL would be tagged as a Response URL.
